Incorporating over 25 years of working with young people in the arts, PushPush Theater Artistic Director Tim Habeger has created an exciting new performance based workshop for young people to develop skills in:
• Foreign Language
• Artistic Performance
• Presentation
From the Artistic Director:
We hope to develop a thirst for languages in young people as well as a feeling of comfort and compatibility with a world that's speaking more than just English. The performance and presentation component of this program involves confidence building from many different approaches. Kids learn to articulate their ideas in collaborative ways with other kids of varying ages and backgrounds. Throughout, each child will find his or her own pace of giving voice to what they've learned and what they're thinking.

This is an on-going series of workshops that will continue in 6-week intervals through the Spring of 2008. Each interval will end with a workshop performance for parents. The entire process will result in a professional public performance at PushPush Theater (and possibly other locations) this coming spring! |
| • |
You may continue the program uninterrupted or join in on intervals. While helpful for the final spring show, the 6-week intervals are not dependent on each other and each will be distinct for newcomers. |
| • |
While there will be some group activities, teens will work separately. |
| • |
The primary language focus will be French, German, and English. However, the program is structured to support any other language a young person knows or wants to try. |
| • |
Participants may attend one, two or all three days each week - schedule changes are permitted. However, consistency is desirable and participation in final performances will be commensurate with participation in workshop. |
| • |
The workshop will be focused around an original, company developed script. |
| • |
Financial aid available for those demonstrating need. |
