Discovering Habitual Tendencies: To point out actors’
physical tendencies in their characters or in relation to the group and
allow for a space where actors are eventually able to indicate this for

Dailies Film Screenings: Film
Structure Crash Course
Directors and writers of the new independent film movement are often
missing crucial background when trying to tell stories. Understanding
narratives can be accomplished in two ways - from the perspective of
the audience or from the perspective of the artist. The majority of our
time is spent watching others’ work. Therefore our perspective is that
of an audience member, just more committed. This rarely helps when
creating a new work. You have to get under the hood to understand,
especially if you want to reinvent!
Step over to the other side of the footlights and behind
the camera, roll up your sleeves and dig into an interesting
examination of some great films. These workshops help filmmakers better
understand structure and are a prime networking opportunity for
filmmakers looking to develop a project, or get involved with an
existing project.
Fourth Sunday of every month, 7pm, Free, bar is open!
All workshops are at New Street Arts, home
to PushPush Theater.
Email admin@pushpushtheater.com
to register or for more details.
Along with our workshops, there are a variety of production
opportunities
connected with the writing, directing and acting sessions this year.
